Developing Killer Content for Your Website

A website is only as good as the information it provides, which often includes content, blogs, videos, and infographics. Without quality content, your websites success will suffer. What reason will your website visitors have to choose your site over your competitors? They will have no reason to return to your site or share your site with others. Developing killer content for your website is just one aspect you simply can't afford to overlook. But, how do you create content that will keep visitors informed, engaged, and sharing your website with others?

There are a number of ways you can create great content for your website. First, it starts with your website copy. Most website owners are more concerned with their Google ranking; therefore, they put a lot of their effort into SEO content. While you do want to focus on SEO, if that's your only goal, your content is going to lack quality.

The content you create needs to be informative and engaging. It needs to give your readers a purpose to return to your site time and time again. As a result, they will probably share your website with others. In addition to informative and well written content, you must also create a strong call to action, especially if you have a retail or business-to-customer website.

After you've developed killer content for your website pages, begin thinking about adding a blog to your website. Many feel a blog isn't effective for their business, but this couldn't be further from the truth. Blogs are effective for a diversity of business niches. Others stray away from blogging because it's time consuming. Sure, it can be time consuming but there are ways around that, such as hiring a professional to do it for you.

When developing killer content for your blog, create content that is again informative and engaging. The better the content, the more your readers are likely to share and continue to return to your website.

If your ranking and website traffic is your primary goal, you'll increase both your ranking and traffic if you take the time to develop amazing content for your website. You really need to look at your website's content as an investment. If you're serious about investing in your website, consider hiring a professional to create the create website content and blog posts that you need to succeed.

Lets Get to Work Phoenix!

Recently, I was asked to be a part of a special series featured by CBS Local-- Lets Get To Work Phoenix. I had the opportunity to speak with many amazing people in the Phoenix community to learn more about their careers and involvement in Phoenix. Here are a few of the featured stories to help students and Phoenix residents choose a career path:

Entrepreneur Provides Insight Into The Business Of Hospice In Phoenix
With 30 years in the health care industry including 12 years in hospital administration, Gary Polsky understands what it takes to develop a successful career in business management for hospice care.

“I went into hospice after working in a number of hospitals around the country, including Mesa General and Phoenix Community Hospital,” says Polsky. “I realized that the leading edge for medicine was going toward health care for people who didn’t want to sit around a hospital due to the aggressive care.”

Registered Nurse (RN) Joanne Bateman is the division director for BAYADA Home Health Care. She oversees all aspects of the service offices in the Phoenix metropolitan area. Having worked within the health care industry for over 30 years, Bateman believes she understands what is needed to build a successful career in health. “Working in home health care administration is unique, but it’s not for everyone,” says Bateman. “You need to have the empathy, along with the passion, to love what you do every day.” She also believes a career in health can be very rewarding.
The demand for careers in education is high with continual growth and promising prospects for future advancements, according to Dr. Tim HamMadison Elementary School District’s superintendent in Phoenix. He also says, “If your heart and head are in the right place, a career in education provides purposeful and meaningful work.”

'This Post Was Served'-- Facebook Unveils New Changes...Again

If you went onto your Facebook pages yesterday, you may or may not have noticed a slight new change-- your posts were served. That's right, your posts are now served to people not seen by people. At the bottom of your posts, you'll now see, 'this post was served to XX people' versus 'seen by XX.' What's Facebook doing? Who knows. Probably a little experiment. Whether it sticks around or not, we have yet to see.

This isn't the only change. Facebook unveils new changes all of the time, with a couple new recent changes. Among the most recent changes is the revamping of business pages. This process has been slow and not all pages have been converted yet. Basically, business pages on Facebook are getting a new timeline design...again.

The new look is essentially narrower, with all of your page info and control options on the left, with your Home feeds being in the center. Why?  The news feeds have been modified to appear the same on both desktops and mobile devices in an attempt to simplify things.

Other than the new design, you've also probably noticed photos are now larger than before. You'll also see a new ad campaign come into play over the next several weeks if you haven't already. This allows merchants to run more ads at once. This new campaign method is said to make it easier to track performance, organize, and optimize.

As usual, these are just the first of many new changes Facebook will probably release. Just when you get used to one thing, Facebook stirs things up and changes everything again. Good or bad, it's just something you have to learn to live with when dealing with Facebook.

Have you noticed that your post was served? What about the new timeline changes for your business page? What do you think of the new changes?
